Remarks on Topological SUSY in sixdimensional TQFTs
We establish the existence of the topological vector supersymmetry in the six
dimensional topological field theory for two-form fields introduced by Baulieu
and West. We investigate the relation of these symmetries to the twist
operation for the (2,0) supersymmetry and comment on their resemblance to the
analogous symmetries in topological Yang-Mills theory.Comment: 12 pages, to be published in JHEP 11(1999)03
Planar Two-Loop Five-Parton Amplitudes from Numerical Unitarity
We compute a complete set of independent leading-color two-loop five-parton
amplitudes in QCD. These constitute a fundamental ingredient for the
next-to-next-to-leading order QCD corrections to three-jet production at hadron
colliders. We show how to consistently consider helicity amplitudes with
external fermions in dimensional regularization, allowing the application of a
numerical variant of the unitarity approach. Amplitudes are computed by
exploiting a decomposition of the integrand into master and surface terms that
is independent of the parton type. Master integral coefficients are numerically
computed in either finite-field or floating-point arithmetic and combined with
known analytic master integrals. We recompute two-loop leading-color
four-parton amplitudes as a check of our implementation. Results are presented
for all independent four- and five-parton processes including contributions
with massless closed fermion loops.Comment: v3: corrected wrong signs for five-gluon amplitudes with

An AKARI Search for Intracluster Dust of Globular Clusters
We report the observations of 12 globular clusters with the AKARI/FIS. Our
goal is to search for emission from the cold dust within clusters. We detect
diffuse emissions toward NGC 6402 and 2808, but the IRAS 100-micron maps show
the presence of strong background radiation. They are likely emitted from the
galactic cirrus, while we cannot rule out the possible association of a bump of
emission with the cluster in the case of NGC 6402. We also detect 28 point-like
sources mainly in the WIDE-S images (90 micron). At least several of them are
not associated with the clusters but background galaxies based on some external
catalogs. We present the SEDs by combining the near-and-mid infrared data
obtained with the IRC if possible. The SEDs suggest that most of the point
sources are background galaxies. We find one candidate of the intracluster dust
which has no mid-infrared counterpart unlike the other point-like sources,
although some features such as its point-like appearance should be explained
before we conclude its intracluster origin. For most of the other clusters, we
have confirmed the lack of the intracluster dust. We evaluate upper limits of
the intracluster dust mass to be between 1.0E-05 and 1.0E-03 solar mass
depending on the dust temperature. The lifetime of the intracluster dust
inferred from the upper limits is shorter than 5 Myr (T=70K) or 50 Myr (35K).
Such short lifetime indicates some mechanism(s) are at work to remove the
intracluster dust. We also discuss its impact on the chemical evolution of
globular clusters.Comment: Accepted for publication in PASJ AKARI special issue. 14 pages, 11

Gravitational F-terms of N=1 Supersymmetric Gauge Theories
We consider four-dimensional N=1 supersymmetric gauge theories in a
supergravity background. We use generalized Konishi anomaly equations and
R-symmetry anomaly to compute the exact perturbative and non-perturbative
gravitational F-terms. We study two types of theories: The first model breaks
supersymmetry dynamically, and the second is based on a gauge group. The
results are compared with the corresponding vector models. We discuss the
diagrammatic expansion of the theory.Comment: LaTeX2e, 23 pages, 2 figures. Added a reference and converted into

On Superconnections and the Tachyon Effective Action
We propose a form of the effective action of the tachyon and gauge fields for brane-antibrane systems and non-BPS Dp-branes, written in terms of the supercurvature. Kink and vortex solutions with constant infinite gauge field strength reproduce the exact tensions of the lower-dimensional D-branes. We discuss the relation to BSFT and other models in the literature
